Two short, action-packed summer programs, both built for ages 6–12. Run them solo, run them together — lots of our kids do both.
The Filmmaking Crew
Six days. One short film. Made by your kid.
A six-day summer intensive where kids become a real film crew. They learn the four big jobs on a set — director, cinematographer, sound, editor — and rotate through each one. By the end of day six, they’ve written, shot, and edited their own short film. We host a family premiere on Saturday afternoon to wrap it up.
What kids will actually do
- Day 1 — "What's a story?" Pitch ideas, learn what a logline is, choose a film.
- Day 2 — Camera class. Hands on real cameras. Shot sizes, the 180° rule, framing.
- Day 3 — Light & sound. Why does a movie look like a movie? Recording clean audio.
- Day 4 — Shoot day! Everyone's on set. We rotate roles every scene.
- Day 5 — Editing & sound design. Cut their own footage on real (kid-friendly) software.
- Day 6 — Premiere! Red carpet, popcorn, families invited, kids credited.

When: Mon–Sat, 9:30 am–3:30 pm. 4:30 pm Saturday premiere.
Cost: $559 per child. Sibling discount available.
Class size: Maximum 8 kids per crew.
Bring: Water bottle, packed lunch, comfortable clothes.
On-Camera Acting
For the brave, the shy, and the show-stoppers.
A six-day summer intensive where kids learn how to be themselves — on camera. We teach audition technique, scene work, cold reads, and how to take direction. By day six, every kid walks out with a self-tape audition reel they can actually send to an agent.
What kids will actually do
- Day 1 — "Who are you on camera?" Warm-up games, voice work, stillness.
- Day 2 — Scripts and scenes. Real (age-appropriate) sides from real auditions.
- Day 3 — Cold reads & taking direction. Brave choices, adjusting on the fly.
- Day 4 — Self-tape technique. Lighting, framing, slating, confidence.
- Day 5 — Reel-shoot day. Each kid records two contrasting scenes.
- Day 6 — Edit & showcase. Reels cut in the morning; family showcase at 4:30 pm.
